Erin Sweeny is a Portland-based artist, writer, and communications strategist.

She holds an MFA in Photography from the Cranbrook Academy of Art; her past experience includes freelancing as a photographer and photo editor in New York while also penning articles and reviews for publications including Art21 Magazine and The Brooklyn Rail. Sweeny is also a marketing and communications professional with more than a decade of experience directing brand strategy, digital marketing, public relations, and creative content development across multi-channel environments. She has a proven ability to lead teams, manage complex campaigns, and elevate visibility for arts and design-focused organizations and brands with innovative and thoughtful storytelling.

Sweeny has led communications initiatives for arts institutions including Fleisher Art Memorial and The Fabric Workshop and Museum, also consulting for the Ruth Foundation for the Arts and other creatives.
